Certifications are being sponsored by several of the cosponsors at WOC, including the American Concrete Institute, the Concrete Foundations Association, the Tilt-Up Concrete Association, the International Concrete Repair Institute, the American Concrete Pumping Association, and the Tennessee Concrete Association. Each includes a review class prior to the exams.
ACI will sponsor the following certification exams–these include a review course and the written exams, except for Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I which also includes the the hands-on performance exam, allowing the examinee to become fully certified at the show :
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I
- ACI Adhesive Anchor Installation Inspector
- ACI Concrete Flatwork Finisher/Technician
- ACI/CFA Residential Foundation Technician
- ACI Concrete Construction Special Inspector
- ACI/TCA Tilt-Up Technician/Supervisor
ICRI will sponsor the Concrete Slab Moisture Testing Technician Certification, including the written exam, demonstrations of the tests being performed, and hands-on testing.
ACPA will sponsor the Concrete Pump Operator Certification (written exam only).
The Tennessee Concrete Association will sponsor the Pervious Concrete Installer Certification, with those passing the written exam being certified through the National Ready-Mixed Concrete Association.
In most cases, this is just the written exams and not hands-on testing. Go to the WOC web site for details and to register.
