Tifton, Ga.-based building materials supplier Short & Paulk Supply announced Tuesday that its truss manufacturing segment will now operate as a separate business division that caters solely to the wholesale trade. The new division will operate under the name Georgia Structural Components (GSC).
“The wholesale-only orientation of our new GSC Division provides an opportunity for substantial development as we continue to expand this distribution channel,” said Short & Paulk CEO Jay Short in a statement. “It just makes sense for us to seek new markets for our growing manufacturing capabilities.”
The new division will distribute trusses and engineered wood products for Short & Paulk’s four retail locations as well as the company’s network of 15 dealer locations within 150 miles of GSC’s manufacturing facility in Tifton.
