Carter Lumber Realigns Field Management

Kent, Ohio-based dealer's move divides stores into two regions, combines Columbus teams

Carter Lumber, Kent, Ohio, announced plans to realign the field management of its six retail divisions, which comprise more than 150 operations across 10 U.S. states under the brands of Carter Lumber, Carter-Jones Lumber, Holmes Lumber, Kight Home Center, Griggs Lumber, and Kempsville Building Materials.

In a statement Tuesday, Carter’s senior vice president and chief operating officer Jeff Donley explained that the two new regional divisions will be manageed by regional vice presidents Kip Glecker and Al Price.

Donley’s statement also announcedthat the company will combine its Holmes Lumber and Carter Lumber teams in the Columbus, Ohio, market. It will work under the Holmes Lumber name and use three existing Carter Lumber facilities in the three Ohio cities of Plain City, Sunbury, and Reynoldsburg. Former district manager of Carter’s Columbus operations Will Rushman will server as general manager for the stores.

The company added Harry Streyle as District Manager for the Pittsburgh-area, Maryland, and Virginia territories. Streyle formerly worked with 84 Lumber and ProBuild.
