US LBM Acquires PA Dealer Shelly Enterprises

1 MIN READ

US LBM agreed to buy the seven-location Telford, Pa.-based Shelly Enterprises, marking the dealer’s ninth acquisition since 2010, the company announced April 22. Shelly joins US LBM’s seven existing member companies: Bellevue Builders Supply, Schenectady, N.Y.; East Haven (Conn.) Builders Supply; Edward Hines Lumber, Buffalo Grove, Ill.; John H. Myers & Son, Hanover, Pa.; Lyman Lumber, Excelsior, MN; Universal Supply Co., Hammonton, N.J.; and Wisconsin Building Supply, Green Bay, Wis.. Combined, those locations comprise more than 50 locations across eight states. The acquisition of Shelly adds a single location to US LBM’s portfolio in each of Telford, Perkasie, Bethlehem, Souderton, Downingtown, Kimberton, and Quakertown, Pa..

US LBM ranked ninth on the 2012 ProSales 100 list of top building material dealers in the U.S. with $429.4 million in sales during 2011 to professional builders and contractors across 52 locations.

An earlier version of this story listed US LBM as having six member companies and member firm Lyman Lumber’s location as Eau Claire, Wis. US LBM has seven members not including the newly acquired Shelly Enterprises, and Lyman Lumber is based in Excelsior, MN. We regret the error.
