NLBMDA Launches Online Forklift Training Course

Web class helps operators comply with current OSHA regulations

1 MIN READ

The National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA) launched on Sept. 15 an online version of its Forklift and You Training Course, aimed at helping dealers comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations governing Powered Industrial Truck Safety. OSHA requires that forklift operators be retrained every three years to comply with new standards.

“LBM dealers will now be able to purchase an online course license for each of their forklift drivers to go through,” said Chris Yenrick, NLBMDA chair and president of Smith Phillips Building Supply in Winston-Salem, N.C. “This will save lumberyards time, money, and most importantly improve safety.”
