Huttig Building Products has acquired BenBilt Building Systems, Huttig announced in a press release today.
BenBilt, which is located in Greensburg, Pa., is a door fabricator and wholesale distributor that serves the mid-Atlantic region. The company chiefly fabricates pre-hung and pre-finished exterior doors to customers using fiberglass and steel doors manufactured by Therma-Tru.
Jon Vrabely, president and CEO of Huttig, is thrilled about the prospects of the acquisition. “BenBilt complements our brand, product, and service strategies, expands our geographical coverage in Delaware, Maryland, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia, and strengthens our position as the largest door fabricator and value-add millwork distributor in the country,” Vrabley said.
Jim Bennett, managing partner of BenBilt, is also looking forward to working with Huttig. “We are eager to join the Huttig team and look forward to accelerating our growth in the Mid-Atlantic region,” Bennett said.
