84 Lumber Expands Footprint in Florida

New location in Ruskin will meet demand for growing population

84 Lumber announced July 21 it will open a new location in Florida on Aug. 5. Located in Ruskin, the store will help serve Florida’s increased need for more residential housing options, as the Tampa Bay Times has reported a steady increase of population across the state.

The Ruskin location will expand on 84’s existing footprint in Florida, and will join locations in Fort Lauderdale, Orange Park, and Plant City.

“We have a strong presence in the Southeast and continue to grow in that region,” 84 Lumber COO Frank Cicero said in a statement . “With the opening of our store in Ruskin, we’ll better service customers and shape the future of the region.”

This will be the second opening of the year for the no. 6-ranked 2017 ProSales 100 company, after it opened a location in Riverhead, N.Y., back in February. The firm had $2.8 billion in total sales last year.
