Parr Lumber announced today it has bought a 7.5 acre property in Cornelius, Ore., where it plans to open a roof truss and open web floor manufacturing and assembly facility. The property is 17 miles west of Portland, and includes a 15,000-square-foot building.

“Opening the second facility will allow us to increase our capacity, gain efficiencies in our distribution, and improve our lead times,” CEO Doug Wirges said in a statement.”As always, the goal is to make our customers more competitive. Improving our lead time will improve their lead time.”

Parr expects the plant to create about 30 full-time jobs. The firm was ranked No. 17 on the 2017 ProSales 100, and had a total of $416 million in sales last year.
