McCoy’s Building Supply announced today it has purchased the former C-R Reload Center in Burnet, Texas. C-R Reload provided reload and lumber storage for McCoy’s and other Central Texas customers since 2002. The facility will now operate under the name MC Reload and will focus on reducing costs and making distribution more efficient for McCoy’s stores.

The purchase, completed in June, includes a seven-acre rail-served facility with rail capacity for 14 center beam rail cars and an additional 30 acres that will be developed to improve the site’s distribution and reload capacity. The facility is served by Austin Western Railroad with access to BNSF and Union Pacific Railroads.

Brian McCoy, president and CEO of McCoys, said “This new operation is an important step in our future that substantially improves McCoy’s effectiveness in serving our stores and our customers.”

McCoy’s is the no. 13-ranked firm on the 2017 ProSales 100, and had $763 million in total sales last year.
