Today, Builders FirstSource announced a change in leadership. Effective Jan. 1, current BFS President and COO, Chad Crow, will assume responsibilities of president and CEO. Current CEO Floyd Sherman will step down.

Sherman, speaking on Crow’s appointment, said “I am confident in Chad Crow’s leadership, and know I am leaving the Company in very capable hands. Over Chad’s 18-year tenure, he has been involved in all aspects of our operations, including serving as chief financial officer for seven years and chief operating officer the past three years. He was instrumental in taking the company public, guiding us through the worst housing downturn in history, and setting Builders FirstSource on a positive growth trajectory.”

Sherman will remain on the board of directors through May 2018, and serve as an employee adviser through March of the following year.

Dallas-based Builders FirstSource is ranked No.2 on the 2017 ProSales 100, and operates 400 locations in 40 states across the country.
