
There’s no typical ProSales 100 company regardless of whether you focus on size, style, products sold, or customer sought. The differences pop up even when you put PS100 members into three general categories: Specialty dealers, lumberyards with manufacturing, and lumberyards without manufacturing. They show in essence that the number of specialty dealers might pale when compared with lumberyards, but their total revenues are far bigger. Likewise, plain-vanilla lumberyards are numerous in number but not very big in collective sales.
