Beacon Roofing Supply, the No. 3 company on the ProSales 100, added six new locations today with its acquisition of Atlas Supply, a specialty dealer that Beacon described as the Pacific Northwest’s leading distributor of sealants, coatings, adhesives, and related waterproofing products.

Based in Seattle since 1917, Atlas has branches in Tacoma, Spokane, and Mountlake Terrace, Wash., as well as Portland, Ore., and Boise, Idaho. Owners Jan Siers and John Ittes are retiring, while four members of the management team–Tony Mazza, Todd Bennett, Jessica McIntosh, and TJ Cheney–will remain on board.

“Atlas is a tremendous addition to Beacon and significantly strengthens our sealant, coatings and waterproofing business in the robust Pacific Northwest market,” Beacon CEO and president Paul Isabella said in a news release. “The Atlas acquisition enables Beacon to serve customers along the entire west coast and a portion of the Southwest and enhances our strategy to grow our strong margin complementary products business.”

This is Beacon’s first deal since May, when it acquired Tri-State Builder’s Supply of Duluth, Minn., a dealer that sells roofing, siding, windows, and doors across much of Minnesota, northern Wisconsin, and Upper Michigan. It posted $1.43 billion in sales during its fiscal second quarter ended March 31, of which all but $30 million was from its U.S. locations; the rest of the sales were in Canada.
