SRS Distribution today announced it has joined forces with Jefferson, La., based Roofing Products & Building Supply. The independently-owned distributor of residential and commercial roofing products, siding, and brick was founded in 1958 has four Louisiana locations. Terms of the deal were not publicly disclosed.
SRS announced that Vincent Saia, the owner of Roofing Products & Building Supply, regional manager Danny Bordelon, manager of operations Josh Romig, and the entire sales and operations teams will stay with the company to run the branches after the acquisition. SRS will operate the branches under the Roofing Products brand alongside broader building products-focused Advanced Building Products locations.
“We are pleased to announce our partnership with Vincent, Danny, Josh, and the entire Roofing Products team,” SRS president and CEO Dan Tinker said in a public statement. “Roofing Products is a company we have long admired and getting to know Vincent personally for over a decade makes this a special opportunity. Roofing Products perfectly complements our existing Advanced Building Products footprint and together they form the preeminent roofing platform in Southern Louisiana with eight total locations across the market.”
McKinney, Texas-based SRS Distribution now has more than 250 locations across 44 states, operating under a family of 28 local brands. The distributor was the 9th largest company on the most recent ProSales 100, with sales in 2017 of $2.31 billion.
SRS—a portfolio company of Leonard Green & Partners and Berkshire Partners—has been growing through multiple channels recently. The distributor opened three greenfield locations earlier this week and acquired distributor AAC Building Materials earlier this month. Additionally, SRS recently formed a subsidiary, Heritage Landscape Supply Group, which acquired two landscaping distributors.
