Exterior building products wholesale distributor ABC Supply opened a branch in Ypsilanti, Mich. According to a news release from the company, the Ypsilanti branch is ABC Supply’s 26th location in Michigan.
The location will be managed Loren Hesselgrave, who joined ABC Supply in 2015 as a manager candidate in training. Hesselgrave previously spent time at ABC Supply’s Jackson, Wis., and West Allis, Wis., locations during the training program. He was promoted to manager of the distributor’s Fenton, Mich., branch in January 2018 and has helped the team significantly increase sales by year-end, according to the company.
“Loren is committed to growing his team and building relationships with customers in Washtenaw County,” Jim Welch, vice president of ABC Supply’s midwest region, said in a statement. “By opening this location, we are bringing the ABC Supply brand of superior service to contractors in Ann Arbor and the surrounding communities and making it easier for professional contractors to access the high-quality products, expertise, and support they need to run successful businesses.”
The facility opening continues the rapid greenfield opening pattern maintained by the Beloit, Wis.-based distributor over the first half of the year. ABC Supply opened locations in Florida, Virginia, Kansas, Massachusetts, Texas, Arizona, and New Jersey in the first six months of 2019. ABC Supply was the largest company on the 2019 ProSales 100, generating $10.5 billion in sales during 2018. The distributor operates over 760 locations across the U.S.
