Automatic Supply, a part of the Heritage Landscape Supply Group family, opened a new branch in Indianapolis, Ind., according to a news release. The location will carry a full line of irrigation and landscaping supplies with a focus on serving irrigation and landscaping contractors and other green industry professionals.
Kurt Clore will manage the Indianapolis location. Clore has been with Automatic Supply for seven years and held numerous roles, including technical sales support and territory manager. Clore and his team will work to build relationships with local contractors and attempt to expand the branch’s customer base, according to the news release. The new Indianapolis branch is Automatic Supply’s fifth location across Indiana.
“We have strong momentum and a long track record of success in the state of Indiana and we are very excited to expand our footprint and capacity in the region with a new in-fill location in the Indianapolis metropolitan area,” Matt McDermott, president of Heritage Landscape Supply Group, said in a public statement. “The opening of our new location in West Indianapolis marks our 3rd new Heritage greenfield in three months. Each of these three expansion opportunities has allowed Heritage to promote individuals from within our growing company, which is a testament to the deep bench of talent we are developing across our markets.”
Heritage Landscape Supply Group is a wholly-owned subsidiary of roofing and building products distributor SRS Distribution. McKinney, Texas-based SRS formed the portfolio group in February and it immediately acquired CPS Distributors and Automatic Supply. Heritage then acquired Normac, in July. At the time of Heritage’s inception, SRS said it planned to grow the portfolio group by creating a national network of independent distributors, maintaining the local brand identity and management of the locations it acquires. Most recently, the portfolio group opened a new CPS Distributors location in Colorado Springs, Co.
