Allenton, Wis.-based dealer Zuern Building Products plans to open its fifth location, a corporate and distribution center, early next year.

The 70,000 square-foot expansion in Slinger, Wis., will serve as a controlled environment for interior millwork, cabinets, and windows. Zuern’s existing locations in Wisconsin (which include those in Allenton, Watertown, Cedarburg, and Franklin) will remain as showrooms for customers to view product selections and make purchases.

“It’s a very exciting time for us. We feel that this location is an industry-leading solution and an essential part of our growth with over 170 employees,” Arleen Mantel, president at Zuern Building Products & Design Center, said in a company news release.

The new Slinger location will allow top-tier storage and handling of products and increased efficiencies with delivery schedules, according to the dealer. The facility is scheduled to open in early 2020.

Family-owned Zuern Building Products is owned by the third generation of the Zuern family. The company began in 1953 when the Zuern family purchased lumberyard Weis Lumber in Allenton, Wis. and renamed it Allenton Lumber and Fuel. The company, ranked 85th on the 2019 ProSales 100, generated $64 million in sales in 2018, with 85% of its business coming from professional customers.
