Fiberon, a manufacturer of composite wood-alternative decking, railing, and cladding products, plans to increase the production capacity of its west coast operations in Meridian, Idaho.
Renovations are underway to increase capacity in the PVC category at the Meridian plant. Equipment expansion is expected to be operational by the end of the first quarter in 2020. As part of the expansion, Fiberon will also add sales and manufacturing positions at the Meridian facility.
“This expansion is an investment in our brand,” Fenton Challgren, president of Fiberon, said in a news release. “It broadens Fiberon’s capability and reflects our commitment to providing customers with exceptional composite decking products.”
The planned expansion follows news of a recent distribution partnership with wholesale distributor OrePac Building Products. OrePac distributes specialty interior and exterior building materials and has 12 locations locations in the western half of the country.
