Greensboro, N.C-based Thompson Traders has introduced a new series of kitchen and bath vessels, the Oaxaca Collection, all available in the firm’s new matte black finish option.

The Oaxaca collection was designed by Alejandra Ochoa de Thompson, founder and creative director of Thompson Traders, and inspired by Mexico’s Oaxaca region, which is known for its black clay pottery. The collection includes four sinks – Huacana, Puebla, Tacambaro, and Tonala – and the Escondido Vanity, pictured.

“Our craftsman are masters at the art of creating copper sinks and our new Matte Black finish celebrates the texture of copper while complementing our distinct finishes,” Thompson says. “To create Escondido, I took our Zacatecas Vanity and placed the vessel position off-center to provide additional counter space. The result is that Escondido makes a bold statement in any bathroom, yet it is in perfect harmony between our copper and the brass legs that support it.”

Matte black is the second of two new finish options this year from Thompson Traders, and specifically designed to show off the metals used in the vessels’ construction. thompsontraders.com
