ABC Supply, a wholesale distributor of roofing, siding, and other exterior building products, continued its rapid pace of expansion in 2019 by opening a greenfield location in Elmira, N.Y. The Elmira location is the Beloit, Wis.-based distributor’s 16th greenfield opening in the calendar year and represents the company’s 23rd location across New York.
James Londa will manage the Elmira, N.Y., branch. Londa joined ABC Supply in 2015 as a delivery services manager for the distributor’s Endwell, N.Y., location following the acquisition of Norandex Building Materials Distribution. Over the ensuing four years, Londa served in numerous roles, including inventory and purchasing management and administration.
“Jim has a keen understanding of what contractors need from their supplier and how ABC Supply can meet those needs,” said Tom Kuchan, vice president of ABC Supply’s Northeast region, in a public statement. “Whether it’s serving new or existing customers, he and his team are eager to help area contractors run and grow their businesses.”
ABC Supply was the largest company on the 2019 ProSales 100, generating $10.5 billion in sales during 2018. The distributor currently operates more than 790 locations across the U.S. It’s 16 greenfield openings in 2019 include branches in Massachusetts, California, Ohio, Idaho, Michigan, Florida, New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Kansas, Texas, and Arizona.
