Cameron Ashley Building Products has acquired Bluffton, Ind.-based distributor J&R Products. J&R Products distributes specialty accessories and small tool products such as hand tools, caulk, foam, weather stripping, PPE, tapes, vents, baffles, weather stripping, and fastening systems.
J&R Products distributes products from its Bluffton, Ind., and Reno, Nev., locations with guaranteed two-day delivery to anywhere in the United States. Cameron Ashley plans to expand the product line offerings in Bluffton, to expand service in northern Indiana, western Ohio, and southern Michigan.
“We are excited to add J&R Products to our network and to continually provide the best products and service for our customers,” Donny DeMarie, president and CEO of Cameron Ashley Building Products, said in a news release. “The acquisition expands the company’s product portfolio to include additional insulation and weatherization accessories that will be available to our customers nationwide.”
Cameron Ashley, a portfolio company of private investment firm Pacific Avenue Capital Partners, is a distributor of roofing, insulation, gypsum, and other specialty building products. The acquisition of J&R Products follows Cameron Ashley’s acquisition of St. Louis-based Warrior Building Products in 2019 and continues the distributor’s strategic growth initiatives under Pacific Avenue’s ownership.

Under Pacific Avenue’s ownership, Greenville, S.C.-based Cameron Ashley has completed two add-on acquisitions and has grown its network to more than 5,000 customers serviced from more than 35 distribution centers. In 2019, Cameron Ashley opened nine distribution centers across the U.S.
