Hardwood and plywood panel products wholesaler Atlantic Plywood, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Parksite, is expanding its business into the Southeast. The company will serve as the exclusive Formica distributor in the Atlanta and Charlotte, N.C., markets, effective April 6, 2020. Atlanta and Charlotte represent Atlantic Plywood’s 11th and 12th locations.

“With this expansion, our sales associates will look to increase demand for the Formica brand by supporting growth with existing customers and targeting opportunities to develop new relationships,” Tony Millhouse, vice president of sales at Parksite, said in a news release. “Customers can expect fully stocked warehouses with every color of Formica laminate, next-day delivery, highly knowledgeable customer service and sales teams, combined with best-in-class operations and logistics teams.”

Formica is a leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of innovative surfacing products for commercial and residential applications.

Parksite acquired Atlantic Plywood in January 2018 with the goal of expanding the scope of both businesses geographically. Atlantic Plywood operates 12 distribution facilities in Connecticut, Georgia, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Illinois. Parksite operates 20 locations across the United States.
