Cameron Ashley Building Products moved its Kansas City distribution center to a new location in Topeka, Kan.
The Topeka facility has 39,000 square feet of indoor storage and approximately 30,000 square feet of outdoor storage. The distribution center will service customers in Topeka, Kansas City, and the surrounding market.
“We are pleased to continue servicing our customers in Kansas City, while expanding into the Topeka market,” regional vice president Aaron Davis said in a news release. “This facility will allow us better access to customers in the area while setting up Cameron Ashley for future success in the west.”
Kansas City distribution center manager Danny Glover has been promoted to district manager. Glover will now oversee Cameron Ashley’s Topeka, Kan., and Joplin, Mo., distribution centers.
“Cameron Ashley has continued to invest in their employees and company growth,” Glover said. “We are excited to grow in the Topeka area while still continuing our strong partnership with our customers in Kansas City.”
Cameron Ashley, a portfolio company of private investment firm Pacific Avenue Capital Partners, is a distributor of roofing, insulation, gypsum, and other specialty building products. Under Pacific Avenue’s ownership, Greenville, S.C.-based Cameron Ashley has completed two add-on acquisitions and has grown its network to more than 5,000 customers serviced from more than 35 distribution centers. The company opened nine distribution centers across the United States in 2019 and opened 2020 with the acquisition of Bluffton, Ind.-based J&R Products.
