Composite decking and railing manufacturer MoistureShield entered a distribution partnership in the southeast with Fortress Wood Products. Martinsville, Va.-based Fortress Wood Products will distribute MoistureShield wood composite decking products to dealers in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and eastern Tennessee from its three locations in Henderson, N.C., High Point, N.C., and Elizabeth City, N.C.

“Fortress is excited to partner with MoistureShield to expand our portfolio of decking the Carolinas and Virginia,” Tim Parker, vice president of Fortress Wood Products said in a prepared statement. “Our key elements for success are to provide the highest quality products and exceptional customer service to the market. We believe our core values are in alignment with those of MoistureShield and this should be a very strong partnership.

MoistureSheild’s Vision product line features a variety of colors with the strongest cap in the industry, according to the manufacturer. The product line also features CoolDeck Technology, which reduces heat absorption by up 35% compared to standard capped composite products. The manufacturers newly-introduced capped decking product Elevate features two classic, solid colors and two variegated colors to emulate rich tropical hardwoods at an entry-level price point. MoistureShield products are backed by a 50-year warranty and all decking products feature the Solid Core Difference for strength and moisture resistance, allowing products to be installed directly on the ground, in the ground, or under water.

“We look forward to growing the MoistureShield brand throughout the southeast, a region that embraces outdoor living,” Matthew Bruce, vice president of sales of MoistureShield, said. “With the support of Fortress Wood Products’ best-in-class sales and service proposition, as well as their three fulfillment locations, we are well-positioned for success.”

MoistureShield is a division of Oldcastle APG, a CRH company, and its composite decking and railing products are manufactured from 95% recycled content. Founded in 1986, Fortress Wood Products is a wood preserving company with a customer base of contractor-based lumberyards throughout the Carolinas, Virginia, Tennessee, West Virginia, and the Mid-Atlantic states.
