Home improvement company R.P. Lumber acquired two-unit Build-Rite Lumber and Supply. Founded in 1963, Build-Rite Lumber and Supply has stores in Rawlins, Wyo., and Saratoga, Wyo., serving a customer base of builders, contractors, and DIYers.

The newly acquired locations mark the first two R.P. Lumber stores outside of Illinois and Missouri. Both Build-Rite locations will operate under the R.P. Lumber brand name and key team members will remain in place at the stores.

“This is our first acquisition in Wyoming and we could not be more pleased to welcome Build-Rite Lumber and Supply’s great team to the R.P. Lumber family,” Robert Plummer, president and CEO of R.P. Lumber, said in a news release. “Build-Rite Lumber and Supply is an excellent fit for our company and we are excited to serve the people of southern Wyoming. The Olson family built a wonderful business and we are truly humbled that they have given us the opportunity to build on their legacy. R.P. Lumber is also family-owned and our companies share similar values.”

Edwardsville, Ill.-based R.P. Lumber was founded in 1977 and operates 71 locations across Illinois, Missouri, and Wyoming. The full-service retail home center and building materials supplier serves customers in numerous other states, including Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Wisconsin, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma.
