UFP Retail Solutions, a business segment of UFP Industries, named Bryan Hoexum vice president of independent retail sales. In the role, Hoexum will oversee all sales to independent retail customers, co-ops, and buying groups, working with business unit leaders at UFP Retail Solutions to grow their product categories and introduce new products to the marketplace.

“Bryan is widely known as a workhorse in our company, willing to work the long hours needed, but his knowledge of our customers’ needs and ability to provide solutions to retail challenges is truly what sets him apart,” UFP Retail Solutions president Allen Peters said in a news release. “From merchandising to pricing strategies to category management, Bryan is laser-focused on success at the point of sale. With UFP’s new structure, he will play an even more important role by sharing his experience with his team while helping us set our retail strategy.”
Hoexum joined UFP in 1994 in the sales department and quickly advanced to numerous leadership roles, including sales manager, general manager, and regional director of industrial sales. Hoexum was named director of independent retail in 2015, and in the role oversaw the company’s growth with independent retailers.
“Since Bryan took charge of our independent retail sales efforts in 2015, we’ve seen substantial growth in all product categories and customer segments,” Don James, executive vice president of national sales for UFP Retail Solutions, said. “I know our customers and field operations all join me in congratulating Bryan on this well-deserved promotion.”
Universal Forest Products reorganized its operations and rebranded as UFP Industries in January 2020. The Grand Rapids, Mich.-based holding company has subsidiaries that supply wood, wood composite, and other products to the retail, construction, and industrial market. UFP Industries created three business segments—UFP Retail, UFP Construction, and UFP Industrial—as part of the brand reorganization. UFP Industries has approximately 170 locations around the world.
