Cameron Ashley Building Products opened a new distribution center in Fort Wayne, Ind. The warehouse and office space neighbors the existing J&R Products headquarters. The distribution center will serve customers in the Fort Wayne area and its neighboring markets for both deliveries and pick up services. Cameron Ashley acquired J&R Products in January.
“We are excited to offer our customers and suppliers this additional distribution capacity to support the ongoing growth in their businesses,” Cameron Ashley regional vice president Tom Gaffey said in a prepared statement. “Our customers will have quick access to our core insulation, roofing, and drywall products in addition to J&R’s extensive line of building material and insulation accessories.”
The warehouse and outside storage area will provide additional inventory and sales support for customers, with a focus on roofing, insulation, and drywall products, according to a news release. Knauf Insulation, CertainTeed, IKO, TAMKO, Continental Building Products, and United States Gypsum will be among the key suppliers for the Fort Wayne location.
“I’m looking forward to bringing these product lines to customers in and around Fort Wayne,” Fort Wayne distribution center manager Jeff Stringer said. “Combining J&R’s expertise of tools and accessories with Cameron Ashley’s extensive history with roofing, gypsum, and insulation was a no brainer.”
