Composite decking and railing manufacturer MoistureShield has expanded distribution with four BlueLinx Corporation branches in Kansas City, Mo., St. Louis, Mo., Omaha, Neb., and Nashville, Tenn. The four branches will now offer the full line of MoistureShield decking products to their dealer customers throughout their respective regions.

“MoistureShield is excited to expand its footprint with BlueLinx with four new locations,” Matthew Bruce, vice president of sales for MoistureShield, said in a news release. “MoistureShield offers BlueLinx customers a low-maintenance solution for improving their outdoor spaces with versatile moisture-resistant composite decking that complements any exterior.”

All MoistureShield decking products feature the Solid Core Difference for advanced strength and moisture resistance, and can be installed directly on the ground, in the ground, or under water. The manufacturer’s Vision product line features its DiamondDefense Coating, offering scratch, stain, and damage on impact resistance. The product line features the option of CoolDeck Technology, which MoistureShield says reduces heat absorption by up to 35% compared to traditional capped composite boards in a similar color. The company also recently introduced Elevate, an entry-level capped composite decking product.

“BlueLinx is committed to providing excellent service to our customers while providing them with long-lasting, high-performance decking products like MoistureShield,” Paul Wetmore, regional vice president of the central region for Bluelinx, said. “MoistureShield allows us to deliver innovative decking products with the highest level of performance for any region or climate.”

MoistureShield is a division of Oldcastle APG, a CRH company, and its composite decking and railing products are manufactured from 95% recycled content. The manufacturer first entered a distribution agreement with BlueLinx in August 2019 and expanded its partnership with the distributor in August 2020.

Marietta, Ga.-based BlueLinx has a distribution footprint serving 50 states and distributes its range of structural and specialty products to approximately 15,000 customers across the United States.
