Composite decking and railing manufacturer MoistureShield expanded distribution with five BlueLinx Corporation branch locations in Sparta, Wis., Wausau, Wis., Madison, Wis., Grand Rapids, Mich., and Monroe, La. The branches will now carry the full line of MoistureShield decking products to its dealer customers.
“MoistureShield is pleased to continue the successful expansion of our brand with BlueLinx throughout Wisconsin, Michigan, and Louisiana,” Matthew Bruce, vice president of sales for MoistureShield, said in a prepared statement. “In high-moisture climates and recreational lake areas, Moistureshield’s Solid Core technology is idea for moisture resistance and durability.”
All MoistureShield decking products feature the Solid Core Difference for advanced strength and moisture resistance, and can be installed directly on the ground, in the ground, or under water. The manufacturer’s Vision product line features its DiamondDefense Coating, offering scratch, stain, and damage on impact resistance. The product line features the option of CoolDeck Technology, which MoistureShield says reduces heat absorption by up to 35% compared to traditional capped composite boards in a similar color. The company also recently introduced Elevate, an entry-level capped composite decking product.
“BlueLinx is committed to providing excellent service to our customers while providing them with long-lasting, high-performance decking products like MoistureShield,” Mark Wasson, regional vice president of the north region for BlueLinx, said in a news release. “Partnering with an innovative decking manufacturer like MoistureShield allows us to provide cutting-edge building products to our customers.”
MoistureShield is a division of Oldcastle APG, a CRH company, and its composite decking and railing products are manufactured from 95% recycled content. The manufacturer first entered a distribution agreement with BlueLinx in August 2019 and expanded its partnership with the distributor in August 2020 and in October 2020.
Marietta, Ga.-based BlueLinx has a distribution footprint serving 50 states and distributes its range of structural and specialty products to approximately 15,000 customers across the United States.
