Montgomery, N.Y.-based Russin and composite decking and railing manufacturer Deckorators expanded their existing distribution partnership to “add product depth and sales support” to the northeastern and mid-Atlantic markets, according to a news release. Russin is adding Deckorators Trailhead wood-plastic composite (WPC) decking to its Deckorators decking and railing distribution, and both companies will invest in additional sales staff to “better service” dealers from Maine to Virginia.
Deckorators Trailhead decking is an entry-level composite decking product with a 25-year removal and replacement warranty. Trailhead now complements Deckorators’ other mineral-based composite (MBC) in the Russin product offering.
“We’ve been impressed with Deckorators MBC decking in our first year together,” Jordan Russin, co-president for Russin, said in a prepared statement. “The addition of Trailhead decking presents a tremendous opportunity for our dealers to offer a leading-edge composite at a phenomenal price point. Working together in an expanded way ensures a singular market strategy for the benefits of our dealers.”
According to a news release, the addition of Trailhead to the Russin product offering positions the company as the “premier distributor” of these decking products throughout the northeast of the United States. Russin will also carry Deckorators ALX aluminum railing and the entire Deckorators outdoor living lineup.
“Throughout my career I have worked with many distributors,” Rick Preble, vice president of Deckorators, said. “Since innovation is our driving force for new products, we need the best distributor partners, and Russin’s service promise is ‘Beyond Ordinary,’ to say the least. I am so excited about this relationship.”
Russin is a manufacturer and distributor of building materials covering 13 northeast and mid-Atlantic states. The company owns and operates manufacturing and distribution facilities in Montgomery, N.Y., and Coronel, Chile.
Deckorators, a brand of Universal Forest Products, is the originator of the round aluminum baluster. Deckorators and Russin first entered their distribution partnership in the fall of 2019.
