Beacon announced executive vice president and chief human resource officer Christopher Harrison will be leaving the company later in the fiscal year. The company has initiated a nationwide search for Harrison’s successor, according to Beacon. The departing CHRO will remain with the company and work closely with president and CEO Julian Francis until his successor is appointed and will then support the transition of his responsibilities until his departure, which is expected to occur during Beacon’s fiscal third quarter.
“Chris has been a valued senior executive and business partner throughout his time with the company and his contributions were significant in helping Beacon grow from $2.2 billion in revenue in 2014 to a $6 billion Fortune 500 company today,” Francis said in a news release. “As a trusted advisor and highly respected mentor and coach, Chris has transformed our talent system, environmental health and safety, and diversity and inclusion strategies, resulting in a winning culture that is creating a sustainable competitive advantage.”
In a separate announcement, Beacon appointed Binit Sanghvi as the company’s head of investor relations. Sanghvi most recently served in the same role for Builders FirstSource. In the role, Sanghvi managed the flow of information between BFS, its shareholders, and the financial community, including communicating with buy-side investors and sell-side analysts.
The new head of investor relations previously has held investor relations roles at multi-nationals ABB Group and Holcim Group.
“We are extremely pleased to welcome Binit to the Beacon team,” Frank Lonegro, CFO of Beacon, said in a news release. “His depth of experience with investors and analysts in the building products space will bring tremendous value to Beacon as we continue to drive our strategies forward and create shareholder value.”
Herndon, Va.-based Beacon distributes roofing materials and complementary building products. The company operates over 400 branches throughout all 50 U.S. states and six Canadian provinces.
