Boise Cascade Announces Departure of Executive in Building Materials Division

Vice president and general manager of western region operations for the building materials division Frank Elfering will leave Boise Cascade at the end of April.

Boise Cascade announced Frank Elfering, vice president and general manager of western region operations for the company’s building materials division, has elected to leave the company effective April 30, 2021.

“I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Frank for his 22 years of dedicated service, which has contributed to strengthening industry relationships and achieving strategic growth in our distribution footprint,” Nate Joergensen, CEO of Boise Cascade, said in a news release. “We send best wishes to Frank and his family as they embark on new adventures.”

Elfring joined Boise Cascade in 1998 as a product manager and worked in increasing leadership roles in sales, marketing, and purchasing within the building materials division during his tenure. He was named vice president and general manager of the western region in 2013.

“As a result of our intentional talent development, we are fortunate to have the bench strength within the organization to provide new opportunities for others and ensure a smooth transition,” Jeff Strom, building materials division executive vice president, said. “The continuity of experienced leaders within our ranks, coupled with our strong business results, allows us to continue to live our values and successfully serve our customers.”

Boise, Idaho-based Boise Cascade products engineered wood products and plywood in North America and is a wholesale distributor of building products.
