Stine Home and Yard announce the promotion of Wendy Stine into the role of president of the company. Stine, the granddaughter of Stine founder J.W. Stine, began her career with the company in 1988 working at the company’s DeRidder store location while in high school. In her 33 years with the company, Wendy Stine has served in numerous roles, including manager of the DeRidder store, corporate purchasing buyer, and, most recently, director of merchandising.
“Today marks an exciting time in the history of our company,” Stine CEO, and former president, Dennis Stine said in a news release. “Wendy Stine has exemplified true leadership in the many roles she has served in her 30-plus year career at Stine.”
Wendy Stine has also managed special projects for Stine, such as Hurricane Gustav relief efforts, the Hurricane Maria US Virgin Islands Rebuild Program, and as a co-coordinator of the Stine Expo. Stine serves on the board of directors for Chamber SWLA and Alliance Foundation and the Southwest Louisiana Better Business Bureau. Wendy Stine also currently serves as a member of the ACE Hardware Paint Retail Input Team and as an advisor to the board for Allied Building Stores. Additionally, Stine serves as the president of the Stine Family Council and on the Stine board of directors.

Former president Dennis Stine will continue to serve as the CEO of the company.

Sulphur, La.-based Stine has 11 locations throughout Louisiana and Mississippi.
