New South Construction Supply (NSCS) hired Abhi Singh as executive vice president and COO. Singh will lead all nine NSCS branches in sales, operations, purchasing, new locations, and future mergers and acquisitions, according to the company.
“I’m very pleased to have attracted Abhi as our executive vice president and chief operating officer,” Jim Sobeck, CEO of NSCS, said in a prepared statement. “His background in our industry is broad and varied, and his track record of success wherever he has been will help take New South Construction Supply to the next level.”
Singh joins NSCS from two-step building materials distributor Mid-Am Building Supply, where he was the vice president of sales and marketing, leading a team that grew sales over $100 million in less than three years. Singh also previously served as managing director of Harvey Commercial Solutions in New England, senior vice president at A.H. Harris & Sons Construction Supplies, general manager of J&H Aitcheson, and had his own construction supply business, Atlantic Supply Corporation, in Baltimore, Md. Earlier in his career, Singh held a series of regional leadership roles for White Cap Construction Supply, Hughes Supply, and Ferguson Enterprises.
