International Wood Products (IWP) announced it will open a building materials distribution facility in Post Falls, Idaho, in January. The location, situated between Spokane, Wash., and Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, is in the heart of “one of the fastest-growing U.S. housing markets, creating excellent growth opportunities,” according to IWP.
“Our new location will position IWP to provide a higher level of service to our existing customers in this service area, and the expansion into additional markets in western Montana, central Idaho, and beyond,” IWP executive vice president Jason Allen said in a news release.
IWP said the core team at the Post Falls location will include several current team members, instilling IWP’s values and service expectations from its beginnings.
“IWP’s success in this market will be based on a winning combination; our talented team, strong partnerships with manufacturers, and an unwavering commitment to operational excellence and customer service.”
Clackamas, Ore.-based IWP is an independent, full-service stocking distributor and manufacturer of building materials service building materials suppliers in nine western states. IWP operates four locations in California, Oregon, and Washington.
