Cloud-based business management solutions provider ECI Software Solutions has acquired INSEARCH, a cloud-based construction business management solution. INSEARCH will become part of ECI’s Residential Home Construction Group, joining MarkSystems, Lasso CRM, LotVue, BuildTools, and BOLT.

“ECI’s mission is to provide the best cloud technology to our customers so they can grow,” Trevor Gruenewald, CEO of ECI, said in a news release. “We’ve always been impressed with INSEARCH’s capabilities, which drove us to forge a strategic relationship with them in early 2021. After getting to know them better over the intervening months, we became even more confident that the INSEARCH team would be a valuable addition to our company and I.D.A. Pro Cloud would be a great complement to our other solutions.”

INSEARCH’s I.D.A. Pro Cloud software is a 2D and 3D visualization tool that provides home buyers with a compelling, interactive, and transparent way to see and customize the home they are buying, according to the company. ECI said the acquisition allows the company to strengthen and expand the integration between INSEARCH and MarkSystems so that MarkSystems users have access to top notch 2D and 3D interactive software experiences. The integration will help ECI offer an improved product experience for builders and land developers to help sell inventory faster through a more customized experience.

“Building a successful homebuilding business requires builders to not just be excellent at planning and building homes, but also at marketing and selling them,” Scott Duman, president of the Residential Home Construction Group at ECI, said. “At a time when the housing market is hotter than ever, buyers want a higher level of engagement throughout the entire process. Combining INSEARCH’s interactive technology with the building information in MarkSystems gives builders a visual way to showcase their homes and allow buyers to customize them while minimizing manual work on the builders’ part.”

ECI said it plans to make investments in product development, go-to-market, and customer success strategies to help accelerate INSEARCH’s growth.

“We’ve gotten to know ECI very well over the last year, and we’ve seen all of our joint customers benefit greatly from the increased engagement our integration has brought,” said Ryan Thornton, COO and co-founder of INSEARCH. “We’re passionate about providing our builders the tools necessary to close more sales and be more profitable, and we couldn’t be more excited to continue that mission as part of ECI.”
