New York-based building materials distributor and manufacturer Russin hired Kimberly Rodriguez and Brendan Carney to the company’s outside sales team. The hires increase the headcount of Russin’s sales force and will enable deeper penetration to already growing markets, according to the company.

Rodriguez, who will be based in Charlton, Mass., will cover Rhode Island as well as Massachusetts in her role at Russin. Rodriguez joins the company after a varied career with a major building supply dealer, filling many roles within the industry.

Carney most recently owned and operated a contracting firm in the Batavia, N.Y., area. Carney will be covering both the western New York and western Pennsylvania markets for Russin.

“Finding great people is especially challenging right now,” Jordan Russin, Russin co-president, said in a news release. “Our culture makes it that much more so – we need folks who are not only great performers, but strong fits for how our company likes to work and support its customer base. I’m so excited to learn from Kim and Brendan as they grow into their roles.”

Montgomery, N.Y.-based Russing Lumber manufactures and distributes building materials and covers 13 states in the northeast and mid-Atlantic. The company also owns and operates distribution, milling, and factory finishing facilities.
