Cameron Ashley Building Products opened a new distribution center in Tuscaloosa, Ala. The facility is Cameron Ashley’s second distribution center in Alabama and will service customers in Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, Montgomery, and Huntsville.
“We are thrilled to enter the Tuscaloosa market. We are bringing with us a huge inventory of building products featuring all the premium brand names,” regional vice president John Gambone said in a news release. “You can expect fast delivery and unparalleled customer service to all of north central Alabama. We’ve got a fantastic local team that is ready to serve our customers.”
The Tuscaloosa center will stock roofing, drywall, insulation, siding, along with all the associated accessories, according to Cameron Ashley.
“Our new customers can expect a team filled with knowledgeable experts with an emphasis on customer-focused delivery options,” distribution center manager Wyatt Armstrong said. “We are excited for the opportunity to serve the Tuscaloosa and the northern Alabama market.”

South Carolina-based Cameron Ashley operates a network of more than 45 stocking distribution centers throughout the United States.
Under Pacific Avenue’s ownership, Cameron Ashley has completed three add-on acquisitions. The company opened nine distribution centers across the United States in 2019, acquired Topeka, Kansas-based J&R Products, Alexandria, La.-based Martin Distributors, and Syracuse, N.Y.-based Reserve Supply of Central New York, opened three distribution centers in 2020, and opened a distribution center in Denver in 2021.
