Lumber and building materials cooperative LBM Advantage recently announced its 2021 Vendors of the Year in four categories: commodities, specialties, millwork, and kitchen and bath.

Vendors in each product category were evaluated on a variety of criteria, including sales growth, gross margin improvement, customer support, and product quality, according to LBM Advantage. The co-op named US Gypsum as its Vendor of the Year for commodities, National Nail as the winner in the specialities category, Velux as the top vendor in millwork, and The Stock Market as the 2021 Vendor of the Year in the kitchen and bath category. Winners will be presented their awards at the LBM Advantage Annual Buying Show in Kissimmee, Fla., from Feb. 21-23.

“With the high level of demand and rapid growth in the industry, it is more important than ever to collaborate closely with our partner vendors,” Tom Molloy, executive vice president or products and programs for LBM Advantage, said. “Our 2021 ‘Vendors of the Year’ winners consistently exceeded our service expectations and shared in our goal of leveraging collective power for mutual benefit.”

LBM Advantage is a member-owned cooperative for the LBM industry. The organization has more than 500 independent members and operates four locations in New Windsor, N.Y., Grand Rapids, Mich., Smithfield, N.C., and Monroe, La.
