Simpson Strong-Tie completed its acquisition of the ETANCO Group, a designer and manufacturer of fixing and fastening solutions for the European building construction market.
“ETANCO is a highly successful and profitable company with a 70-year history and well-established brand and market position,” said Karen Colonias, CEO of Simpson Strong-Tie. “We believe its extensive and complementary product offering will strengthen our overall product portfolio in Europe, enabling us to deliver even more value to our customers.”
Simpson Strong-Tie, a manufacturer of engineered structural connectors and building solutions, said the acquisition will allow for an increased product portfolio and an expanded presence in existing markets. Additionally, the deal will further develop the market channel reach in Europe for the manufacturer and enhance building envelope solutions for industrial and commercial construction.
“ETANCO and Simpson have a very similar DNA as we’ve both built our business on high-quality products and unmatched customer service,” said Ronan Lebraut, president of ETANCO Group. “Collectively, we can expand and optimize our European footprint while introducing new products to our combined customer base.”
Both companies said there will be no changes to either company’s business, product lines, production, brands, or employees post-acquisition. The management teams from Simpson Strong-Tie and ETANCO Group will work together to formulate a joint strategy for the future to ensure “a seamless operation for customers.”
“Our goal is to combine the companies in a way that takes advantage of our respective strengths in the marketplace and in service of our customers,” said Michael Anderson, vice president of European operations for Simpson Strong-Tie. “Both ETANCO Group and Simpson Strong-Tie customers can expect the same level of high-quality products and service as they have received in the past.”
