Boise Cascade Promotes Joanna Barney and Troy Little

Barney has been named vice president of western operations in the building materials division and Little has been appointed vice president of finance and commodity sales for the wood products division.

Boise Cascade promoted Joanna Barney to the role of vice president of western operations in the building materials division and Troy Little to the role of vice president of finance and commodity sales for the wood products division.

“I am excited to announce these well-earned executive promotions,” Nate Jorgensen said in a news release. “Both Jo and Troy have extensive track records of success. Their experience and values-based leadership will help us continue to drive key initiatives to serve our customers and grow our business.”

Barney began her career with Boise Cascade in 2005 as an admin manager at the Salt Lake building materials distribution branch. She was promoted to senior location controller in 2012, to branch manager in 2015, and to general manager of building materials distribution western operations in 2021. Prior to joining Boise Cascade, Barney worked at Novell and Ion Laser Technology. Barney is a member of Leading Women Executives and serves on Boise Cascade’s diversity, equity & inclusion steering committee.

Little joined Boise Cascade in 1990 as an internal auditor. He has a broad range of experience on both the financial side and operational side, including serving as regional manager for six manufacturing facilities in Oregon. Little became wood products division controller in 2016, division financial manager in 2018, and added commodity sales to his responsibilities in 2021. In addition to his role with Boise Cascade, Little serves on the board of the western wood products association.

Boise, Idaho-based Boise Cascade is a producer of engineered wood products and plywood and a wholesale distributor of building products.
