Kodiak Building Partners announced the acquisition of nine-unit Sun Mountain Custom Doors. Sun Mountain Custom Doors manufactures custom doors at its Berthoud, Co., facility, and showcases them in eight design centers in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, North Carolina, New Mexico, and Utah.
Sun Mountain’s production process merges Old World craftsmanship with modern woodworking technology, with the ability to supply custom products to a nationwide market, according to Kodiak. The company pre-finishes doors in the factory, providing products ready to install with no on-site painting for builders.
“The handcrafted and beautiful doors from Sun Mountain are desired by custom luxury builders across the country,” Kodiak CEO Steve Swinney said in a news release. “No one else in the United States is producing such a high-quality door. We look forward to helping them expand their capacity and sales even further.”
Highland Ranch, Co.-based Kodiak Building Partners operates 103 locations across Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
