  • 84 Lumber continued its tradition of supporting the Boy Scouts of America by donating $150,884 to the Westmoreland-Fayette Council at its 32nd Annual Joe Hardy 84 Lumber Golf Outing.
  • Weyerhaeuser reported a work stoppage has occurred involving members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union, impacting operations in Oregon and Washington. Weyerhaesuer has approximately 1,200 employees who are members of IAM, cinlduing employees in the company’s wood products and timberlands organizations.
  • LP Building Solutions launched its Certified Installer Program, an exclusive program that recognizes distinguished installers of the brand’s flagship SmartSide Siding and Trim products.
  • Trex Company expanded its distribution footprint in Texas with the addition of long-time distribution partner Snavely Forest Products to its South Central network.
  • New South Construction Supply has been named one of South Carolina’s 50 Fastest Growing Companies for 2022 by Integrated Media Publishing.
  • Canfor is curtailing production for two weeks at the majority of its solid wood facilities in British Columbia. The curtailment is expected to result in a reduction of approximately 200 million board feet of production capacity.
  • Westlake Royal Building Products celebrated a historic milestone with the dedication of the 300th home to feature the company’s donated siding and trim materials in the Ohio region.
  • FastenMaster recently teamed with Colorado-based deck builder O’Keefe Built and the BuildStrong Academy of Colorado to host a day-long, 10-step deck building training session for individuals who are interested in learning about the deck-building trade.

Along with the four universities, SRS will also have a presence at the AT&T Red River Showdown featuring Oklahoma University and the University of Texas.

  • Canfor will invest approximately $210 million to build a state-of-the-art sawmill complex in southern Alabama with an annual production capacity of 250 million board feet on a two-shift basis.
  • Through LMC dealer fundraisers and employee fundraisers, over $40,000 was raised for six charities across the country and one international contribution for humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.

  • Derby Building Products announced the full line of Tando products, including TandoStone, Beach House Shake and TandoShake, will be distributed by Coastal Forest ProductsCharleston, S.C., branch.

  • Barrette Outdoor Living broke ground at the site of the company’s future 175,000 square foot PVC manufacturing plant in Tampa, Fla.
  • Masonite opened a new plant in Stoke-on-Trent, England. The facility combines the previous Solidor production and storage sites into one manufacturing hub.

  • Palmer-Donavin announced it is adding synthetic wood siding and trim products from RISE Building Products to the company’s exteriors offerings.
