LBM Advantage Names James Sammons New England Member Sales Manager

The industry veteran has previously worked for PrimeSource Building Products and Huttig Building Products.

LBM Advantage hired James Sammons as a member sales manager for the New England region. Sammons has over 30 years of sales experience in the lumber and building industry, having previously served as a sales and territory manager for PrimeSource Building Products and a product specialist at Huttig Building Products.

“I was thrilled to find that LBM Advantage was seeking a member development team member,” Sammons said in a news release. “I thoroughly enjoy building long-term relationships with LBM dealers. My goals is to help them solve issues, make them aware of opportunities, and assist them in resting plans that will drive business growth.”

According to the organization, Sammons will serve co-op members in the states of Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, and Maine while also driving expansion in the region. Sammons will report to director of member development Dan Ohmer.

“Jim Sammons knows the New England region well. His experience with major building products vendors, knowledge of independent dealers, and genuine love of the industry made him a perfect addition to our member development team,” Ohmer said.

LBM Advantage is a member-owned cooperative for the LBM industry. The organization has more than 500 independent members and operates four locations in New Windsor, N.Y., Grand Rapids, Mich., Smithfield, N.C., and Monroe, La.
