Building products manufacturer LP Building Solutions celebrated the grand opening of its new global headquarters in Nashville, Tenn. The new two-floor headquarters allows LP to further expand its corporate hybrid workplace model while upgrading its office environment, according to the company.

Originally founded in Portland, Ore., 50 years ago, LP relocated its headquarters to Nashville in 2004. Prior to the move to its new headquarters, LP was located in Nashville’s central business district downtown. The move to the city’s Broadwest complex was announced in 2021 in an effort to seek a “more innovative, collaborative, and flexible office space.”

The new headquarters offers more than 60 collaboration areas, including conference rooms and huddle rooms, and is designed to support a hybrid work environment. Employees are able to determine where they work—whether remotely or in the office—based on their roles and responsibilities.

“Today marks an important milestone in our history, LP chair and CEO Brad Southern said at the grand opening ceremony for the headquarters. “Our new headquarters is a hub for innovation and collaboration—critical components of our continued success. We are happy to welcome employees to this new space and excited to see the fresh ideas that will inspire further LP accomplishments here.

The architectural and design theme of the new headquarters (“never far from the tree”) was inspired by LP’s wood-based building materials and the space was constructed using LP products throughout. The office features a 25-foot-wide, 8-foot-tall, hand-carved wooden mural originally commissioned over 30 years ago for the company’s original headquarters in Portland.

LP Building Solutions manufactures engineered wood building products for builders, remodelers, and homeowners. The company’s portfolio of offerings includes LP SmartSide Trim and Siding, LP SmartSide ExpertFinish Trim and Siding, LP BuilderSeries Lap Siding, LP Outdoor Building Solutions, LP TechShield Radiant Barrier, LP WeatherLogic Air and Water Barrier, LP Legacy Premium Sub-Flooring, LP FlameBlock Fire-Rated Sheathing, LP NovaCore Thermal Insulated Sheathing, LP TopNotch Sub-Flooring, and oriented strand board.
