March 15

  • Sto Corp. promoted Mark Orlando to the role of vice president of sales from South region sales manager. Additionally, Claudia Mueller was named director of marketing communications, replacing the retiring Michelle Leader.
  • Tibbetts Lumber promoted Don Viscio to the role of chief administrative officer.
  • LP Building Solutions named Libby Berman vice president and chief tax officer and appointed Bob Hopkins as vice president and treasurer.
  • LBM Advantage announced Bob Carson, vice president of southern operations, will retire on March 17.
  • 84 Lumber promoted Dave Rumbaugh to the role of vice president of logistics and specialty purchasing.
  • Spahn & Rose Lumber hired Tom Ford for the newly created position of vice president of supply chain & IT.

March 8

  • Roseburg announced Matt Lawless has been named vice president-general counsel and corporate security. Dave Neal was recently named president of Georgia-Pacific Gypsum.
  • ODL hired Jaclyn Harrison as executive vice president of human resources.
  • Digger Specialties Inc. (DSI) promoted Patrick Gallagher to the position of director of sales-building products/eastern U.S. The manufacturer also announced the retirement of Ken Hotchkiss from his role as territory manager of the Mid-Atlantic.
  • Do it Best Corp. hired four team members and internally promoted two employees in March.

  • Beacon announced Racquel Harris Mason has been appointed to its board of directors.
  • Marvin promoted Malorie Drugg to the role of vice president of marketing, Tim Kasten to the role of vice president of sales, and David Goulet to the role of vice president of research and development and product management.
  • Digger Specialities Inc. hired Chris Boyts as the company’s Mid-Atlantic territory manager. Additionally, Randy Freed was promoted to the position of training manager following the retirement of Larry Burkholder.

  • Bliffert Lumber & Hardware reported manager Chris Hegeman accepted a two-year term as chairman of the board of the Wisconsin Retail Lumber Association, part of the Northwestern Lumber Association.
  • E.C. Barton and Company announced the retirement of long-standing chairman of the board and past president Niel Crowson.

  • 84 Lumber awarded senior manager of traffic and logistics Andy Fossick as the dealer’s Rising Star and HR manager Heather Kovaly as the dealer’s business excellence award winner.
  • Siwek Lumber Jordan promoted Jason Pranghofer to the position of vice president and Samantha Siwek to the position of secretary/treasurer.
  • Marcos Industries promoted Jill Porter to the position of vice president of operations and Lindsey Goodsell to the role of vice president of marketing. The company hired Mark Eliasson as the new vice president of sales.
  • L&W Supply announced Dave Johnson has been named business manager of its Northeast region.

January 18

  • Palmer-Donavin appointed Caleb Grothaus to the role of director of business development and promoted Dave Wall to the newly created position of regional director of distribution.
  • Boise Cascade announced the retirement of Rich Viola, senior vice president of sales and marketing for the company’s building materials distribution division. Nathan Sikes has been appointed Viola’s replacement in the role.

January 11

  • PPG announced Ram Vadlamannati, currently the company’s senior vice president of protective and marine coatings and president of PPG Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), will transition to lead a newly created PPG operations organization while maintaining oversight of PPG’s EMEA region. Additionally, Amy Ericson was promoted to the role of senior vice president of protective and marine coatings. Ericson will also assume executive oversight accountability for PPG’s Latin America region. Kevin Braun, vice president of global industrial coatings and interim industrial segment leader, will assume executive oversight responsibility for PPG’s global automotive coatings, specialty coatings and materials, and packaging coatings businesses.

  • Builders FirstSource appointed Dave Rush as the company’s chief executive officer. Rush had served in the role in an interim capacity since the resignation of Dave Flitman in mid-November 2022.
