Privately-owned building materials supplier 84 Lumber announced the company’s expansion plans for 2023. The dealer plans to open new facilities and make improvements to 54 locations to increase its market share by the end of the calendar year.

“With the opening of these new stores and manufacturing facilities, we remain strong in our continued prospect for growth,” 84 Lumber president Maggie Hardy said in a prepared statement. “We value our customers and listen to what is important to them to grow their businesses. As a result, we are growing and expanding in two ways—opening new locations and investing in existing markets.”

84 Lumber plans to open new store locations in Stockton, Calif., Denver, and Greeley, Co., and relocate existing stores to larger facilities in Morgantown, W.V., and Sarasota, Fla.

The dealer is also opening component plants in Winter Haven, Fla., Columbia, S.C., Boise, Idaho, and a second plant in Atlanta. 84 Lumber plans to relocate its current Atlanta engineered wood products facility to a larger location in Cartersville, Ga., and open new centers in the New Jersey and Boston markets. The company also plans to open a new door shop in Denver in 2023.

“I’m immensely proud of the performance of our company over the last several years,” Hardy said. “We have the right people, and we are supporting our associates and customers with the necessary resources to take our company to the next level. I’m committed to growing this company the 84 way and continuing to provide more opportunities for our associates.”
