TAL Holdings promoted Vernon Shallenberger and Dana Cowart to vice president roles within the company. Shallenberger will serve as the vice president of sales and operations and Cowart will serve as the vice president of technology and acquisition integration.
In the role of vice president of sales and operations, Shallenberger will be responsible for managing TAL’s operations, marketing, and merchandising to ensure the company meets its sales, financial, and operational goals. The newly promoted vice president joined the company in May 2022 as the director of operations. Prior to TAL Holdings, Shallenberger spent 15 years at White Cap in roles ranging from branch manager to area operations manager.
Cowart will manage TAL’s business information systems and inventory as well as develop a team to support the company’s acquisition strategy in the new role. As vice president of technology and acquisition integration, Cowart will work closely with managing director of acquisitions Dave Ditttmer. In eight years with TAL Holdings, Cowart has served as branch manager, director of operations, and vice president of sales and marketing.
Vancouver, Wash.-based TAL Holdings’ family of brands include Badger Building Center, Bayview Building Supply of Elma, Best Built Builders Supply, Browne’s Home Center, Gerretsen Building Supply, Lake Chelan Building Supply, Marson and Marson Lumber, Midway Building Supply, Mount Vernon Building Center, and Tum-A-Lum Lumber. The company operates 29 building material centers.
