Kodiak Building Partners announced Barton Supply is celebrating its 50th business anniversary as a manufacturer of rebar, steel supply, tilt-up, and construction supplies in Colorado. The family-owned, Aurora, Co.-based company was founded in 1973 by Brad, Ben, and Fred Barton.
“We take great pride in the long-term value we have created for our customers, employees, and vendor partners over the past five decades by adhering to our core operating philosophy and culture,” Cody Brooks, president of Barton Supply, said. “As our company has grown and diversified and our sourcing, manufacturing, and sales activities have been increasing in scope, this strategy has served us exceedingly well. Last year, we generated record sales and achieved our second-best earnings ever. I am honored to have been entrusted to build on these achievements and am committed to preserving the unique blend of continuity and innovation that has fueled our growth and success.”
Barton Supply now operates three additional Colorado locations in Colorado Springs, Commerce, City, and Frederick with combined warehouse and fabrication facilities of 170,000 square feet of space. Barton Supply joined Kodiak Building Partners as Kodiak’s first acquisition in 2011. The company’s primary business revolves around rebar fabrication, structural and miscellaneous steel, tilt-ups, and concrete construction accessories for commercial and residential projects.
“This 50-year milestone is a testament to our exceptional employees and the great customer partnerships they have developed, which have sustained and fueled Barton’s growth over the past 50 years,” Kodiak CEO Steve Swinney said.
