Jeld-Wen introduced several door products this year that will be available this spring. The products, which were showcased at the 2020 International Builders’ Show (IBS) in Las Vegas, in January, include various sliding patio doors and a fiberglass door that has the look and feel of iron.

Siteline Residential Inswing Patio Door

At the IBS 2020, Jeld-Wen introduced its Siteline inswing patio door, featuring a redesigned fiberglass sill to manage water infiltration. The product uses pressure differential to continually weep water away from the door during heavy rain and inclement weather. It has a performance grade (PG) 45 rating. The sill can be used as a drop-in component to upgrade existing doors. It is now a standard offering on all Jeld-Wen Siteline inswing patio doors and is included at no additional cost to customers.

Siteline Multi-Slide Patio Door

Jeld-Wen added a Multi-Slide patio door to its Siteline collection to address consumer interest in “naturally lit interiors and large patio door systems,” according to the company.

The Multi-Slide patio door combines the LaCantina narrow three-inch stile and rail to increase the amount of glass and natural light coming into the home, while also minimizing vertical obstructions.

The product is designed to “create large patio door openings that seamlessly combine interior and exterior spaces. Panels are available in sizes up to 60 inches wide by 108 inches tall and can be configured up to six panels in a single direction or 12 panels in a bi-parting configuration, which delivers a maximum net frame width of slightly more than 57 feet,” according to the company.

The product is available in stacking configurations, with one fixed panel on either end and multiple operable panels that can stack behind them. In pocketing configurations where there’s an interior wall cavity, panels can be pushed to the side and stacked completely out of sight.

The product, which offers large horizontally retractable screen options, can be ordered with Jeld-Wen’s Auralast wood treatment process, which has a lifetime warranty against cellular breakdown and wood rot.

Siteline Low-Friction-Gliding Patio Door System

Jeld-Wen is offering its Siteline low-friction-gliding (LFG) patio door system, which fits between a standard patio wall system and an architectural wall system. The product is available in two-, three-, and four-panel configurations. Despite their large size, the panels will deliver a PG grade 35 rating, according to the company. The panel, which weighs more than 550 lbs., glides with only 1.5 lb. of rolling force, said Jeff Kohler, business development manager at Jeld-Wen.

Two screen options are available for the product, a standard retractable screen and folding screen. The product offers the company’s Auralast wood treatment process, which has a lifetime warranty against cellular breakdown and wood rot.

Jeld-Wen also showcased at IBS 2020 the IWP Aurora door, which features the company’s Foundry finish, a multistep finishing process that creates the look and feel of iron, but offers the performance benefits of fiberglass. Iron doors create a desirable look, but offer poor thermal properties, such as overheating in the summer and frosting during the winter. IWP Aurora fiberglass offers a better barrier against the elements and resists denting or shrinking and requires little maintenance, according to Jeld-Wen. The company’s Foundry finish is available in five colors including metallic black, flat black, silver, medium bronze, and tumbled white bonze. Custom colors are also available.
