Multitask That Smart Phone

Drivers at Carolina Lumber & Supply Co. in Atlanta all get smart phones to do such tasks as take pictures of deliveries made so they can prove they brought in all the materials requested. But owner Allen Hanahan says the drivers also use smart phones for job prospecting. “If there’s a building permit on a post, they take a picture of it,” Hanahan says. “We enlarge it, call the builder and try to get on their bid list.”
